Course Information

The STAR Community Wellbeing Support Services programme consists of 3 credits.

Unit 28548-V2 (Level 2) (7 Credits)
Support a person’s wellbeing and quality of life in a health or wellbeing setting

Practical
Offsite visit to retirement homes

Domestic Entry Requirements

For year 11 - 13 secondary school students who are NZ Citizens, permanent residents or students with an applicable visa that allows them to be enrolled in a secondary school).

Students must be self-motivated and ready to learn.

Applications are to be received from participating schools.

Advice & Guidance

How to apply
Talk to you careers advisor if you're interested in applying for UCOL's STAR Alternative Health Care.. Your application will be arranged in partnership with your parents/caregivers and your school.

Costs
Fees-free for students. Upon successful application, your school will pay UCOL a fee.

Additional Requirements
Students will need to bring a pen and paper to take notes and are required to wear suitable footwear for practical sessions.

There are no additional costs associated with this programme. Simply, bring a pen, paper and your lunch each week.
