From 2023, UCOL and the programme you have enrolled in will become part of Te Pūkenga. So, if you join UCOL in 2023, you will be awarded Te Pūkenga certification. And, if you are a current learner graduating in 2023, you will be awarded a co-branded certificate.
This programme consist of 60 credits. The courses includes:
Learner-Centred Practice (20 Credits)
Become a teacher who knows how to get the most out of their students. Help your students to be empowered and walk away achieving their learning goals. Gain the latest techniques in lesson planning, and the expertise to approach adult teaching with enthusiasm and understanding.
Teaching Approaches for Learner Success (10 Credits)
Learn the strategies to teach a diverse range of learners and abilities. Your studies will cover different teaching approaches including cooperative learning, project-based learning, and blended learning. You'll also learn the techniques for teaching youth, special needs and those with learning difficulties.
Assessment and Moderation (15 Credits)
Learn how to use assessments to improve your teaching methods and ultimately increase success rates with your students. Also maximise the effectiveness of your assessments with a robust moderation process.
Perspectives on Teaching and Learning (15 Credits)
Learn how to recognise and articulate how your learning philosophy influences your teaching practices. Understand which teaching style to use depending on the student’s needs and abilities. Learn teaching strategies for a diverse range of learners.
